Havana, March 23 – French-Canadian expert Herve Fischer stressed the priority given by the Cuban government to the training of youths in the field of Information Technologies.
Fischer said that thanks to the Cuban government’s strategy, the country now counts on a large number of students with knowledge and skills to develop projects similar to those implemented in the so-called First World.
The expert, who heads the International Multimedia Federation, said that Cuba is ready to lead initiatives in the alternative digital field and apply its own model or vision in tune with the ideals of the Revolution.
Fischer participated at the 15th International Convention and Fair on Information Technologies held this week in Havana which, he noted, expresses Cuba’s willingness to play an important role in the field of communications.
The event was attended by 1 thousand 400 delegates from 30 nations of the world.
