USA Certifies Loss of Nationality of Cuban Antiterrorist
Havana, May 10 – Cuban antiterrorist Rene Gonzalez announced today that the U.S. Interests Section of United States in Havana handed him the certificate of loss of U.S. nationality.Now I am a Cuban citizen, a patriot of the island, which I always was, but this does not imply any hostility towards the people and the country where I was born, Gonzalez said at a press conference in the capital.
Being in Cuba does not mean at all that I am free because I will not be free while my four colleagues Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez remain confined only for saving lives, which is the most precious thing.
