HAVANA, Cuba, May 14 – The legacy of Bolivarian leader Hugo Chavez will be the focus of a conference to be held May 23 at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ottawa, Canada with Professor Emeritus and economist Michel Chossudovsky and Journalist Arnold August as guest speakers. The event has been sponsored by the School of Political Studies of the University of Ottawa, the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Canada, and Territorio Libre organization. The conference may screen a documentary film to facilitate discussion on the subject, according to the release calling the forum.
The further unfolding of the Bolivarian Revolution and its challenges, the most recent presidential vote that took Nicolas Maduro to power, the Venezuelan opposition’s efforts and maneuvers to retake power, are just some of the subjects for discussion during the conference.
