Havana, Jul 22 – About 1,000 dialogues and meetings with the Arab culture were carried out in the last two decades, to promote in Cuba traditions and customs of that region’s countries, according to organizers from that space.
More than 100 people went to the headquarters of the Arab Associaton of Cuba (UAC) in this capital, to celebrate the birth of that kind of activity, which emerged in July 1993, and is celebrated all weeks since then.
Ambassadors and other members of the diplomatic staff in Cuba, who enjoyed the artistic performances of the dance company belonging to the UAC, also attended the event.
According to the chairman of the Committee on Culture of that institution, Sarima Perez Proveyer, this is a space in which hundreds of scientists, researchers, teachers, journalists, poets and artists have put their knowledge at the service of the auditorium for two decades.
These dialogues and meetings are a communicative platform of the organization, to promote the essence of that culture in Cuba, she said.
