Havana, Jul 21 – Cubas Labiofam Entrepreneurial Group is carrying out researches to develop a new anti-cancer drug from the RJLB14, reported Juventud Rebelde daily on Sunday.
According to Labiofam director Jose Antonio Fraga, the product is under strict toxicology tests to then clinically tested it in human beings, after the approval by corresponding entities of absolute guarantees to use in humans.
Fraga adds that the latest results in relation to the RJLB14 have been presented by the Ministry of Health Directive Board, with a report that includes the respective tests and evidences on the pre-clinic tests.
This new drug goes through the membrane of the bad cells and kills it, which makes it diffrent from other drugs now in existance, said Fraga.
For his part, researcher Alexis Día said that this research is the result of 14 years of work, and made reference to the test carried out at European labs.
