Cuba, Aug 2 – Well known Cuban author and singer, Liuba Maria Hevia is among the most expected guests that will be attending the 37th edition of the Political Song Festival that began this Thursday in Guantanamo province .
Trobadours and writers from different parts of Cuba will take part in the cultural event that will last until the weekend. Liuba Maria Hevia will go to the stage in three different moments of the Festival. One especially devoted to children, an area of her creativity that is beloved by followers here in Cuba and abroad who appreciate very much her devotion to working for the future generations.
A second concert will be taking place at the venue of the Guaso Theater, the flagship cultural institution of the easternmost province of Cuba, and it will be dedicated to the martyrs who gave their lives for the country to achieve its total independence.
The third concert will be at the Pedro A Perez square, the city’s gathering place for the mass rallies, and will be attended by a large crowd that will enjoy Liuba Maria Hevia’s songs.
The Political Song Festival is Cuba’s oldest cultural event devoted to the young artists, and it is a national reference regarding the development of the musical arts by the younger generation.
