Florida, Aug, 24 – After 19 years of its creation, the children’s theater company La Colmenita (The Little Beehive) filled with joy to the children in the municipality of Florida, with the presentation of the play Meñique (Littlefinger).

Small sitting in front of the circle did not stop to admire the adventures Meñique (Littlefinger) and figurines that moved on stage, and share with the protagonist of the play, stories, riddles, songs, and other entertainment.

The presence of La Colmenita (The Little Beehive) in the amusement park in tha municipality of Florida, produced with the support of the political, economic and social organizations of the municipality, is due recognition to the children for their learning outcomes and could be considered a good end for the program of activities this summer.

Approximately 14,000 children are part of the project The Colmenita in Cuba. The company also has subsidiaries in Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and the Dominican Republic, among other countries.

Over the years, La Colmenita (The Little Beehive) played some moving parts, combining dance, music, fairy tale and a message of justice and peace. In 2007, he was the first theater group in the world to receive the title of “Ambassador of Goodwill” by UNESCO.
