Cuba, Aug, 29 – Cuban prima ballerina, Viengsay Valdés, is in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to join a constellation of stars who will dance at the Third Ballet Gala in the Argentinian capital.
Accompanied by her dance partner, talented young dancer Víctor Estévez, Valdés is set to be on the stage on Thursday and Friday with two classical pas de deuxs: Don Quijote and Talisman.
Upon arrival, the renowned Cuban ballerina said that once more she will be able to showcase the advances of the Cuban Ballet School and style, its characteristics, its strength, and the spirit and passion with which Cubans dance.
On hand at the gala will be stars of some of the best companies from all over the world, including the Bolshoi, the Royal Ballet of London, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, the Stuttgart Ballet, the Colón Theater Ballet and Netherlands Dans.
Víctor Estévez, who graduated from the Cuban Ballet School two years ago, said that he is proud of participating in a gala with so many dance celebrities and stars, which, he thinks, is an opportunity to learn new things and gain experiences for his future career as a dancer.
