Florida,  Sept. 3rd  – Florida began on Monday  the 2013-2014 school year, and the  classrooms opened to host  students in general education and young people in university education.
Raising the teaching learning process, adding more to the family, promoting the training of citizens’ values, are among the objectives of the new school year, according to officials from the Education Ministry.

After the triumph of the Revolution led by Fidel Castro in January 1959, Cuba had one million illiterates, 600,000 children without classrooms, and almost 10,000 unemployed teachers.

Since then to date, the island has made progress in its educational programs. Cuba ranked 14th in the world in its Educational Development Index for Everyone.
