Florida celebrates World Day against rabies

Written by: Pedro Pablo Saez Herrera

Florida, Sep 28  – A dog vaccination  takes place in Florida this September 28,  as part of the activities for the World Day against Rabies.
Specialized staff and representatives of the Municipal Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, will be responsible for realizing this act for the benefit of human and animal health.

The rabies disease kills more than 55 thousand people each year, and although there are vaccines to prevent it, they are hardly used by  developing countries because of its cost, a reality that contrasts with the Cuban decision  to combat this evil that can be transmitted to the human beings.
