Havana, Oct 22 – Saint Kitts and Nevis thanks the government and people of Cuba for their collaboration in the academic development and other sectors, said today the Deputy Prime Minister of Public Works, Energy and Public Services.
During his third official visit to the island, the also Ministry of Housing, Public Works, Energy and Public Utilities highlighted the warmth of the Cuban people, the history of the nation and its solidarity to the peoples of the Caribbean and the world.
Despite the economic and financial blockade maintained by Washington against Havana for more than 50 years, Cuba has worked to improve its development and that of other countries, he stated.
Asim Martin placed a wreath today at the Memorial to Cuban national hero, José Martí, and toured the historic cultural center.
His agenda includes meetings with several Ministers and other senior leaders, as well as visits to scientific units, health facilities and some of the agricultural centres in the island.
