Havana, 23 oct – The vice president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, delivered in Moscow a message of condolences from the Cuban president Raul Castro for the victims of the terrorist attack that took place this week in Volgograd, taking the lives of six people and injuring other 37.
According to Prensa Latina, Cabrisas delivered the letter addressed to Head of State Vladimir Putin to Foreign Secretary Serguei Lavrov.
The Cuban vice president assessed the excellence of bilateral relations between Russia and Cuba as a result of recent high level reciprocal visits.
Cabrisas noted that bilateral relations are moving on, that they are taking sound steps to boost economic and commercial joint projects and that from the political front relations are close in the coordination of international forums.
This visit to Moscow concurs with the 11th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Scientific and Technical Cooperation, chaired in this occasion on the Cuban part by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca.
The Commission will be in session on October 24th and 25 th, at the Presidente Hotel. According to the program, the Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev will meet with Cabrisas and Malmierca this Friday, at the Government´s headquarters.
