Santo Domingo, Nov 6 – Mariela Castro, director of the National Center for Sex Education in Cuba, begins today an official program of visits to the Dominican Republic, where she will participate as a speaker in a course on sexuality.
The Cuban sexology will be interviewed in the space “El gobierno de la mañana,” from Z-101 radio station.
The agenda of Mariela Castro, who arrived in this capital two days ago, also includes meetings with officials, non-government representatives, and friends of her country, as well as visits to sites of historical and social interest.
The course, named Sexuality, Sexual Health, and Human Rights, is promoted by the National Council for HIV and AIDS in the Dominican Republic, and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.
Its objective is to support the need to promote a system of actions for sexuality education, sexual health with gender approach through a participatory methodology.
