Havana, Nov 11 – Cuban badminton player Osleni Guerrero will participate in the 7th Suriname International Open Event that will be disputed on November 13-16, the newspaper Jit reported.
Guerrero was also chosen to participate in the International Clinic of this discipline, to be held in Paramaribo on the same date than the open event.
Together with the Cuban sportsman, seven other figures from the continent will participate, four in each sex, designated by the Pan-American Confederation for these practices, led by Spanish coach Arturo Ruiz.
Miguel Diaz, president of the Cuban Federation, also confirmed that after concluding his competition in Suriname, the runner up of the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara will travel to Mexico to participate in the 4th edition of the international competition of this sports in that country, announced to be held on November 21-24.
