Santo Domingo, May 9 – Cuban singer and songwriter Liuba Maria Hevia captivated the Dominican audience attending the last concert of her fourth tour in this capital, where she arrived for the first time 11 years ago.
Casa de Teatro was the stage for the concert, preceded by another four concerts which she offered during the 17th International Book Fair, Santo Domingo 2014, from April 24 to May 5. Liuba, as she is known by her followers, opened the concert with Â¿Acercate,Â¿ and continued with 25 additional songs by Joan Manuel Serrat, Joaquin Sabina, Silvio Rodriguez and Pablo Milanes.
Those attending the concert were delighted with songs such as ¿Iluminame, ¿Angel y Habanera, ¿Con los hilos de la luna, ¿Tu amor es el canto mio, and ¿Tantas vidas, during the more than two-hour concert.
A special moment of the concert was the song “Ausencia”, dedicated to Dominican singer Sonia Silvestre, who died on April 19 at the age of 61.
