Camaguey, Cuba, May 19 – The multiple music styles of Rock were highlighted in the theoretical discussions of the 11th National Rock Festival Sonidos de Ciudad (‘Sounds of the City’), which ends today here with a concert of the bands of Camagüey.
The musician and founder of the event Salvador Torres considered the genre is characterized by richness given by its variants such as Pop Rock, ballad Rock, Hard Rock, Gothic Rock. It is more than extreme Rock metal.
More than 60 rockers from different regions of the island are participating in the event that takes place every year in this city, declared by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.
This cultural event brings together young Cuban artists and it is hosted by the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS).
It also included activities such as the controversial space for debate Hard Rock Cafe, led by Torres, producer of the Provincial Center of Music in Camagüey, who stated that the Festival is determined to educate young people and form a rock culture based in knowledge.
