Petroria, October 16 – LABIOFAM (Biological Pharmaceutical Laboratories) in Cuba has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), the Caribbean entity confirmed today.
LABIOFAM and FARA inked the agreement to establish a strategic alliance between the two organizations in areas of bio-products, agricultural research, dissemination and adaptation of technologies, and science and technology, among other subjects.
The treaty also seeks to increase agricultural productivity to expand food and nutritive security, support human welfare and reduce poverty in Africa and other territories, according to the source.
FARA delegates praised the technological progress of the Caribbean nation in agriculture and human health, stating that those premises can contribute to the benefit of the African continent.
With the signing of the memorandum, LABIOFAM and the African federation agreed to exchange information related to new technologies and innovations in agriculture, as well as collaborate in the promotion of services in areas of bio-product businesses.
