Extraordinary ALBA-TCP Summit to address Ebola

cumbre-alba-tcpHavana, October 17 – Heads of state and government of member states of Alba and the Peoples’ Free Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), along with representatives of international organizations, will meet in Havana, on October 20, in an extraordinary summit to coordinate efforts to prevent and confront Ebola.

The meeting was scheduled in response to the United Nations Secretary-General’s appeal for collaboration to address the Ebola epidemic affecting Central and Western Africa.

During the summit, ALBA-TCP members will define their joint contribution to confront this health challenge and prevent the spreading of the disease in Latin America and Caribbean.
