Havana, Jan 11 – The National Seismological Service Network registered Sunday night a perceptible quake localized in the Eastern province of Santiago de Cuba.
The epicenter of the quake was localized in the coordinates 19.88 latitude north and 75.47 longitude west, four kilometers west southwest of Playa Baconao, at a depth of 42.2 kilometers and a magnitude 3.2 in the Richter scale.
Reports have been received of perceptibility in the localities of Baconao, El Caney, Las Guasimas, Rio Carpintero of the Santiago de Cuba municipality and in the city itself, with no reports of human or material damage.
