Havana, Mar 17 – Cuban junior World Championship medalist Maria Viera and another 7 Cuban racketball players are reinforcing their training in Cuba, to get ready to compete at the Pan American Championship in Costa Rica, from April 8 to 15.
According to the President of the National Federation, Ricardo Mendoza, Viera and her companions rage their preparation period in the Manuel Fajardo University for the Sciences of Physical Culture and Sport, under the guidance of coaches Jorge Núñez and Raúl Martínez.
The goal, says Mendoza, is to return to the international stage after several years of involuntary absence.
Also, he adds, participation in the continental event seeks to strengthen the projection of players wanting to qualify for the Central American and Caribbean Games next year in Barranquilla, Colombia.(Prensa Latina)
