Havana, Apr 19 – Cuba and the United States will discuss here on multiple sclerosis and the possibilities of stem cell treatment during a scientific clinical exchange on May 4 and 5.
According to the International Center for Neurological Restoration (CIREN), the event will be attended by renowned professionals from both countries to expose diagnostic techniques and new developments in the rehabilitation of patients with this pathology, which affects one for every 500 people in the world.
CIREN Promotion and Marketing specialist María del Pilar Vilá said that this is the second time that specialists and institutions from the Caribbean island and the northern country interact and collaborate.
She added that in Cuba the treatments with Stem Cells are in the research stage, and they are not applied on patients.
For this reason, this meeting has the importance of evaluating and knowing directly the experiences of these techniques by the working group of that northern country and its future application in Cuba.(Prensa Latina)
