Study, the biggest challenge

Camagüey, May 11st – As well as in all Cuba, the different educational institutions in the province are arriving to the end of the academic year. The final exams, entrance exams to Higher Education, and the integral preparation to the 4th Regional Study of the Quality of Education (Erce, by its acronym in Spanish), form part of the work strategy of that Ministry.

More than 2 200 students of 12th grade in the province opted for the access to different university careers from May 3, with the exam of Mathematics; remaining still those of Spanish-literature and History of Cuba, foreseen for the days 8 and 11. To do the tests 20 headquarters were enabled in all the municipalities.

And if for these students the 2017 is an important year, it is also important for the primary education. During the next week, they will be carried out a checking exam to the students of third and sixth grades, previous to the Erce, which will be developed in about twenty countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, in two years.

In declarations to the digital newspaper Adelante Digital in March, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, minister of Education, assured that Camagüey has the conditions of contributing to the good results that they are sought for the 2019.

In that sense, she exhorted the professors to invigorate the quality of the classes and the learning of the students. At the same time, she proposed the actions in other factors associated to the Erce, as the inspection of the school atmosphere, the attention of the family and the necessity of the constant study as guarantee of quality.(Adelante)
