Cuba, Jun 16 – The Ernesto Guevara sculptural complex from Villa Clara province was refurbished as a present to all the revolutionary fighters of the world on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the death of the Heroic Guerilla Fighter and 20th anniversary of the transportation of his mortal remains to the Santa Clara city.
The website of the local CMHW radio station announced that the refurbishing work covered all the elements of the historic site, including the Che Guevara statue and its metallic words which express memorable phrases about his legacy, the stone base and the Frente Las Villas Mausoleum.
The refurbishing work was directed by the Havana city’s historian office and the German MD Projektmanagement enterprise which is the same one that carried out the works at the Capitol building.
The work was carried out by a team made up of four men in four weeks, along with an extreme quality and its cost rises to thousands of Euro-currency. It was a donation for Cuba as a tribute to Che Guevara and what it represents his example for all the peoples, Mayra Romero Bermúdez, who is the director of the monument declared:
“We shall have a new sculptural complex to be visited by those ones from all over the world who got to Santa Clara province to pay homage to Che Guevara on the upcoming October 8th.(Radio Rebelde)
