Radio Florida celebrates the assembly of the delegation of the Cuban Journalists Union

Florida,Oct 6th – Aspects related to the constant overcoming of journalists, the use of digital media to disseminate the reality of Cuba and the work of young people in the information department were some issues addressed during the assembly of the delegation of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC) in Radio Florida.

The meeting was chaired by Aixa Hevia González, UPEC’s first vice president and Yuldis Márquez Díaz, the provincial president of the union, who met the main dissatisfactions of the membership related to pay salary, preparation of the English and French language translators and the lack of the necessary digital resources for the immediate information of local events.

While the commitment to continue defending the principles of the Revolution and the legacy of the Commander Fidel Castro Ruz was reiterated here by those who exercise the informing and guiding the people in difficult times such as those experienced during the recent passage of Hurricane Irma through the national territory.

During the assembly, Humberto Guevara Ezquivel was ratified as president of the Union of Cuban Journalists of Radio Florida and Yamilka Horta and Francisco Sierra as members of the local executive.
