Havana, Nov 22 – Different issues related to the fight against doping will be under discussion today during the 7th Convention on Physical Activity and Sports (AFIDE), the main Cuban sports scientific event.
Representatives from Argentina give a paper on the work done in the different international laboratories of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and Cuba will talk about interpretive errors in the policy of doping.
A balance on WADA’s work during the last decade will be also heard from Spanish delegates.
Other important moments will be those dedicated to baseball in the Symposium on sciences applied to this sport, among them the works dedicated to the job of talent scouts in the United States and Canada.
A representation of the Canadian club ‘Les Capitales de Quebec’ will speak about the experience in recent years with the insertion of Cuban baseball players, and women’s baseball in the United States will be also debated.
Mexico proposes a reflection on the main challenges of its current sports, and Cuba will talk about weights for women.(Prensa Latina)
