Havana, May 1  –  President Raul Castro heads today in this capital the main parade on the International Workers’ Day, while workers and people will march in squares and avenues nationwide to pay tribute to Venezuelan Commander Hugo Chavez.

Raul Castro presides over this celebration at the Havana’s Revolution Square, in which hundreds of thousands of workers, professionals, youth, students, children and the people in general are participating, with the premise of marching together for a prosperous and sustainable socialism, according to the call by the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC).
