Florida, Oct 6.- Four young people from the Florida municipality gave their willingness to join the Women’s Voluntary Military Service, after the call made by the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in conjunction with the Union of Communist Youth of the territory; Two of them are Housewives from the El 13 and Conquista communities, one is a worker at the Shirt Factory and the other is a Pre-university student.As reported by Rita Viltres Ríos, municipal secretary of the FMC, the recruitment process is still being maintained for young women between 18 and 35 years of age, with good social behavior and who wish to attend this call from the Homeland.
The leader also recalled that once the Military Service has been satisfactorily completed, the young women receive offers of employment or study at a technical and university level, according to their possibilities and knowledge, and can choose a position to train as officers in a military training center.
It also transpired that girls interested in joining the Women’s Voluntary Military Service can go to the headquarters of the Federation of Cuban Women or to the Directorate of the Communist Youth Union of the municipality to make their request.
